Current Research

Sudy Majd’s research focuses on decision-making and consumer behavior with a particular emphasis on food choices. Generally speaking, her research aims to better understand how the built environment can subconsciously lead children and adults to healthier decisions. She is involved in research both in the CRED Lab and The Center for Decision Sciences at Columbia Business School.

Sudy received her BA from Barnard College in Economics and her MS from Cornell University in Human Environment Relations. Her master’s research was on sources of stresses and threats to security in relation with the physical environment in subway stations.
