In January, selected students will be contacted by faculty either via phone or email and invited to attend Prospective Days at Columbia. Prospective Days are typically held over a long weekend in late February, and allow applicants to gain first-hand knowledge of and insight into the Psychology faculty, the current students, and the program in general. This event also provides the faculty with the opportunity to interview and interact with prospective students in order to determine their degree of compatible interests. The final selection of students occurs shortly after this interview event.
Although to-be-admitted will be contacted soon after Prospectives Days by the department, the formal offer to our graduate program will come from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences via email. Official notification from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences about admission decisions will be delivered mid-March.
