General Area of Research

I am an interdisciplinary neuroscientist with a keen interest in bridging cognitive science research with educational methodologies. In my doctoral work, I examined the neurobiology of learning and memory, focusing on the molecular mechanisms that contribute to synaptic plasticity underlying long-term memory formation in Aplysia californica. Currently, I am interested in studying the cognitive mechanisms of active learning in the undergraduate classroom with the goal of understanding and designing pedagogical strategies that engage students effectively in the learning process.
