General Area of Research

Curiosity, motivation, and learning

Current Research

My research focuses on curiosity -- what motivates people to seek and learn new information, how curiosity takes shape in response to various types of information and differing contingencies, how the motivation to learn ultimately influences memory, and how curiosity may change throughout the lifespan. New lines of research delve into more applied educational settings, aiming to explore how we can leverage our understanding of curiosity and learning to enhance pedagogical practice and classroom learning.
