Current Research

My research interests are in trying to understand how our underlying neurobiology, specifically the synapse, supports cognition. My recent work has been investigating differences in dendritic spine type, density, and clustering in cognitive aging and how these differences correlate with cognitive performance on a task of working memory. I am also interested in the synaptic profile of different regions of the brain and how these differences are necessary to support optimal cognitive function.
